Welcome To Fenland Archery Club
Fenland Archery Club was established in September 2006 by 10 like minded local archers, with the goal of addressing the need for a premier quality archery experience. Those archers were: Dave and Pauline Slack, John and Roz Payne, Colin and Sarah Crowley, Glyn and Rieko Dixon and Paul and Gill Anthony. The original committee was formed at a barbeque at one of the archers homes in Windmill street, which led to Paul Anthony designing our Windmill logo. Our clubs aim is to promote archery in all its forms and we are affiliated to Archery GB (which is the trading name of the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS). Since its inception, our club has continued to grow in size and has welcomed many new members with experience, ranging from beginners to experienced archers. We have plenty of capacity to grow and we regularly run “have a go” sessions and beginner courses throughout the year, allowing prospective new members to develop the basic skills necessary to become safe and confident members of the Fenland Archery Club Community. Our archers have been successful in local and regional competitions, winning both the East Anglian and Cambridgeshire titles in Longbow, Compound and Recurve disciplines. Our members shoot all common bow types including Recurve, Compound, Flatbow, Horse bow and of course the English Longbow.
